Role Purpose:
The Team Leader has the primary responsibility of achieving high employee engagement to create a distinctive patient experience and assure the provision of quality and safe services through team members within the assigned department. The team leader assures that employees are performing their work consistent with organizational expectations and policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include management of staff, analysis and development of performance improvement plans for department metrics including length of stay, avoidable day management, patient satisfaction, and readmission rates.

Metrics: LOS, Observation LOS, Avoidable Days, Denials, Patient Throughout, Readmission, Patient Satisfaction


Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree
    • Registered nurse within the state of Missouri
    • 3 to 5 years of experience
    • 1 to 3 years of Supervisor experience
    • Requires effective oral and written communication and human relations skills to effectively communicate with and respond appropriately to a variety of customers with different levels of comprehension using tact, congeniality and diplomacy.
    • Problem solving effectiveness as measured by patient outcomes and customer satisfaction, based in professional integrity and stature, the Team Leader will demonstrate follow through to ensure a continuum of care.
    • Demonstrates competence in delegation, problem solving, conflict resolution and team building.
