SSM's Student Nurse Internship Program offers student nurses a chance to work alongside the RN Preceptor to perform a variety of patient care activities and experience working for SSM Health Care first hand.

SSM's student interns should be able to work well as part of a team. They should be able to look for new, creative ways to produce a caring environment. Interns will learn effective time management skills and discover an abundance of opportunities to learn and fine tune his/her nursing skills!

Program Dates:

The program begins May 21st, 2018 and runs through June 23rd, 2018.

Screening will begin in February 2018.


Selection Criteria:

Interested candidates should meet the following criteria:

- Commit to working full time for 4 weeks beginning Monday May 21st, 2018 and ending Saturday June 23rd, 2018

- Be able to work a flexible schedule of days or nights and possibly holidays.

- Attend mandatory orientation on May 21st, 2018.

- Must submit electronic references after phone interview

- Be enrolled in an accredited RN nursing program.
- Successfully completed Fundamentals of Nursing and have completed two rounds (semesters) of clinical rotation by May 21st, 2018

- Must be within 12-18 months of graduation.
