Description

Role Purpose:
Working with an established system, legal, regulatory, andstatutory guidelines, the Sr. Workers' Compensation & Injury Management Specialist(WCIMS),is responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of reportedworkplace injuries and illness within their designated region. Primaryresponsibilities are inclusive of initial contact with the employee andassisting them in understanding the workers compensation process in coordinatingwith a TPA, Employee Health, Providers & vendors as applicable. Serving asthe injured employees first point of contact, responsibilities include injuryreporting to the TPA; maintaining the OSHA log; inputting data directly intothe RMS database; referring cases to medical case management as appropriate;contacting providers to clarify information and follow-up; establishing reservenotifications; contacting the supervisor for return to work identifying inmaintaining a bank of transactional duty; negotiating work restrictions andcoordinating transition duty; handling assigned workers' compensation claims;and identification, collaboration, and coordination of employee safety lossprevention initiatives with key stakeholders to reduce the possibility ofemployee injury and illness.
Qualifications

MinimumQualifications:

    • Requires a minimum of5-7 years, in-depth, experience in managing workers' compensation claims andworkplace safety development.
    PreferredQualifications:
    • A bachelor's degree inhealth care administration or related field is preferred.
    • Certification/trainingprograms provided by appropriate workers' compensation/safety industryassociations or through other formal training/education program is preferred.
