Description

Role Purpose:
The position of Risk Management Coordinator for SSM Health Saint Louis will report to the Regional Director of Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management. The Risk Management Coordinator will focus on coordinating activities that eliminate or minimize losses due to personal injury, professional liability, property damage or citations from regulatory agencies for SSM Health Saint Louis.
Responsibilities:
    • Identifies loss exposure, risk control priorities and implement practical problem solving approaches to prevent or minimize loss
    • Develops and coordinates educational programs for employees and staff on topics related to risk management, event entry, loss prevention, safety and regulatory issues
    • Develops, maintains, distributes, and provides in-services related to risk and claims data
    • Disseminates data related to claims patters and risk control

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Certification through the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management is ideal
  • Minimum three - five years related experience
  • Strong computer skills (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and other core MS software)
  • Ability to work with event management databases
  • Excellent phone and customer services skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and has a positive attitude
  • Good creativity, sense of humor and ability to handle pressured work schedule and deadlines
  • Ability to work with all types of people
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • RN license preferred
