Role Purpose:

The Radiology Technologist performs diagnostic radiology procedures utilizing appropriate technical factors, clinical protocols and radiation safety measures in the Imaging Department, Surgery, Emergency Room, and in-patient rooms.

    • Performs diagnostic radiology procedures using appropriate technical factors and radiation safety measures in the Imaging Department, Surgery, Emergency Room and patient rooms.
    • Assists the radiologist and other physicians with procedures.
    • Informs the patient and prepares the patient for procedures.
    • Operates both stationary and mobile machines.
    • Translates physicians orders involving technical-surgical procedures into appropriate x-ray procedures.
    • Makes suggestions which contribute to the efficiency of the department.
    • Explains procedures to patients effectively and consistently.
    • Responds on call appropriately per memo.
    • Performs necessary clerical duties as needed to support department functions.
    • Performs other duties required under special circumstances as requested by the Radiologist or Imaging Director.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Graduate of approved ARRT Radiology Program
  • Current ARRT registry
  • 3 months - 1 year experience
