Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Director - Rehabilitation Services, is responsible for testing patients in the Sleep Disorders Center. Performs polysomnographic testing and a wide variety of other duties related to the evaluation and treatment of patients with known or suspected sleep disorders. Stimulates innovative improvements in patient care through demonstrating expertise as a practitioner. Particularly addresses the care administered to the patient with sleep disorders.


High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate of Science degree in a Health related field preferred.

Board Registration for Polysomnography Technologists as a RPSGT eligible and required within 1 year.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a license as a WI Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) be preferred.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification.

A minimum of 1 year experience in EEG, Respiratory Therapy, or other healthcare area related to diagnostic testing and/or successful completion of a Polysomnography program preferred.

Clinical proficiency gained as a result of ample patient care background. Special motivation and interest in sleep disorders medicine. Ability to develop and evaluate the Sleep Disorders Center. Appraises the effectiveness in the approach to meet client needs and searches out, evaluates and implements new approaches.

Meets and/or maintains competencies appropriate to the department. Demonstrates commitment to patient satisfaction and exhibits exceptional verbal communication skills.
