The Opportunity:

SSM Dean Medical Group, a 450 physician multi-specialtygroup, is looking for a Fellowship Trained Primary Care Sports MedicinePhysician to join an expanding department of four physicians. This is a fulltime Sports Medicine position. It willbe split 50/50 between Madison and Baraboo, 45 minutes north of Madison. Sports Medicine is part of SSM Dean MedicalGroup's non-surgical musculoskeletal service line. The new physician isexpected to get referrals from many Dean departments, especially the primarycare specialties and Orthopedic Surgery. Thisposition will focus on sports-related and other activity related pain andinjuries, uncomplicated fracture care, and sports concussion management. Skill in MSK ultrasound for diagnosis andguided injections is welcome.


TheHospitals:

Patients who need to be hospitalizedwill utilize either SSM St. Mary's Hospital in Madison or SSM St. ClareHospital in Baraboo. St. Mary's is a 350-bed tertiary care and referral centerwith a full spectrum of medical and surgical services. SSM St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo is 32-bedfacility that serves a 16-zip code rural area just north of Madison. Thehospitals and Dean Medical Group are part of SSM Health, an integrated healthsystem that has facilities in Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri, and Oklahoma.
