Under general supervision of the Director of St Clare Center, the Treatment Professional independently carries out direct service activities, consultation, training. Direct services include the assessment/evaluation and treatment of patients within the assigned treatment program areas. This position also assists in providing direction and guidance to staff at the Entry and/or Intermediate levels. Positions in this classification perform functions that can only be carried out by individuals who meet the qualifications of a treating professional as defined in s. MPSW 14.01, MPSW 1.09. SPS51 Wis. Stats. "Treating professional" means a dually licensed Licensed Professional Counselor/Licensed Social Worker and a Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor. who provides, or supervises the provision of, Mental Health and AODA services to adults.

EDUCATION: Applicant must have already completed the required education (graduate degree in one of the fields listed below), completed post graduate supervised practice, and is in the process of applying for the license.
CERTIFICATION, liCENSURE, BONDING: Licensure or eligible for licensure* as a Professional Counselor, Clinical Social Worker, or other mental health professional and Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor in the State of Wisconsin per requirements of the Department of Safety and Professional Services. License must be acquired by the time of appointment if not in possession at the time of application.
EXPERIENCE: • Professional Counselor: Graduate degree in Professional Counseling or an equivalent degree. Completion of post graduate supervised practice Master's level - 3,000 hours of post-degree supervised professional counseling practice including at least 1,000 hours of face-to-face client contact in not less than 2 years. Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor – 360 hours of education and completion of 3000 hours of supervised practice. Licensed in a Different State: Applicant is currently licensed in a different state and is in the process of applying for a license in Wisconsin.
Department Specific:
Use of health equipment such as blood pressure cuff and thermometer, use of office equipment such as telephone, copy machine, fax, paging system, computer and printer.
