SSM Health Dean Medical Group is actively recruiting for a full time Primary Care Behavioral Health Clinician at our Madison- Fish Hatchery Road location. This dynamic position involves improving patient access to mental health services, while working in close collaboration with our primary care providers in the primary care setting. This position involves patient screening, clinical assessments, brief interventions and follow up with patients referred by primary care clinical staff in the primary care suite. The Primary Care Behavioral Health Clinician will also provide clinical consultations to primary care physicians and other medical providers regarding diagnosis, recommendations, evidenced-based & collaborative treatment plans and need for specialty care, as well as information and follow up with patient. Collaboration with allied RN and social work staff to identify and obtain needed community support or professional mental health or AODA services is also an important role of this position. Other duties may include: patient and provider education; identifying or developing new initiatives to improve access and to improve patient care; and short term psychotherapy.

Qualified applicants must be eligible to attain a Medical Assistance Provider number and Wisconsin license; have a Masters degree in a related field with emphasis upon clinical diagnosis and psychotherapy; at least five years post-Masters clinical experience; sound diagnostic skills, successful experience doing psychotherapy and managing urgent clinical concerns; and, experience and comfort collaborating with other medical professionals in a fast pace environment.
