Position Summary:
The Application Administrator has primary responsibility for ensuring business applications are available and performing optimally for our organization. This requires a team member to have a solid understanding of the application, organizational use, and the underlining technologies along with various inputs and outputs. This team member would proactively coordinate with other infrastructure teams to effectively respond to technical hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of tools and methods. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills to facilitate organizational and technical needs.
Essential Job Duties:
    • Provide business application liaison coordination between multiple technical, business, and vendor customers in support of organizational needs
    • Support customers on complex technical issues including problems related to business applications
    • Recommendations and oversight of operational maintenance, administration, daily monitoring, Service / Operation Level Agreement, performance, capacity, and troubleshooting of business applications
    • Ensure application knowledge and associated documentation is updated to facilitate service support for business applications
    • Coordinate with technical teams the delivery and packaging of applications to customers for business applications
    • Provide recommendations on optimal performance of infrastructure technologies. Inclusive of, but not limited to: Server, Security, Desktop, Network, Operating System, Development, and other technologies.
    • Understand, investigate, monitor, and aid in resolution of integration touchpoints
    • Participate internal technology implementations, upgrades, and retirements
    • Participate in the planning and testing for disaster recovery and business continuity activities
    • Stay current on industry trends and technology features
    • Adhere to solid security technology practices
    • Provide On Call support when required
    • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications
Required:
  1. Excellent Customer Service skills with the ability to work fluidly with business and technical customers
  2. Associate Degree in related information technology field
  3. 2 - 3 years' experience in a technology environment
  4. Demonstrated experience working well with customers of varying levels of technical expertise in high-pressure situations and complex environments
  5. Exceptional Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  6. Experience with enterprise and vended business applications in a corporate environment
  7. Promotes teamwork by building commitment and maintaining optimism.
  8. Excellent Oral and Written Communication
  9. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  10. Familiarity with infrastructure technologies such as Server, Security, Desktop, Network, Operating System, Development, and other technologies
  11. Knowledge of IT Service Management
Preferred:
  1. Bachelor's Degree within Information Technology field
  2. Certification in ITIL or COBIT
  3. Knowledge of Linux and Windows Server Operating Systems and SQL Server and Oracle Databases
  4. Knowledge of the healthcare and / or insurance industry
  5. Knowledge of Outlook, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory structure and administration, group policy, user accounts and security groups
  6. Familiarity with Application Development Languages and Processes
  7. Understanding of networking for LAN & Wireless
  8. Experience in writing SQL queries
