PRN Nurse Practitioner to help in coverage of the Express Care Clinic of Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

The APN or PA plans, coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the population served and within the clinical scope and specialty area of the Nurse Practitioner as designated by their respective certifying bodies and as delegated by their collaborating or supervising physician. The nurse practitioner shall provide patient care according to the protocols agreed upon by the SSM Health - Medical Group. Will be working with outpatient primary care patients of all ages.

This position is a new position to allow for extended hours in the clinic.

The position will be a PRN position with a varying schedule to help in covering provider PTO and uncovered shifts. It will require weekend work.

Looking for an experienced provider comfortable working independently as weekends are part of the responsibility of this position.


Qualifications

Position Requirements (General):

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree for PA-C, Master's Degree for APN
CERTIFICATION, liCENSURE, BONDING: PA-C - Nationally Certified Physician and Illinois Licensed Physician Assistant or NP/CNS - RN and Nationally Certified as NP or CNS in specialty area and Illinois License Advanced Practice Nurse
EXPERIENCE: None
SPECIAL QUAliFICATIONS: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to assess the needs of the customer and effectively meet their needs.

Department Specific:
Continuing education as determined by state licensure requirements and recredentialing/licensing organizations. Maintain collaborative/supervisory agreements as required. Provides primary care to patients of all ages.
