Description

Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to add to the Bariatric program at St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia, IL.
The APN or PA plans, coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the population served and within the clinical scope and specialty area of the Nurse Practitioner as designated by their respective certifying bodies and as delegated by their collaborating or supervising physician. The nurse practitioner shall provide patient care according to the protocols agreed upon by St. Mary's Hospital and will be working with surgical patients of adult/geriatric age.
This position is a new position to allow for additional help in the program, and may need to be flexible to work across both campuses.
The position will be a 80 hour salary (based on experience) exempt position with a schedule of: 8 am to 430 pm, but must be flexible.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree for PA-C, Master's Degree for APN.

PA-C - Nationally Certified Physician and Illinois Licensed Physician Assistant or NP/CNS - RN and Nationally Certified as NP or CNS in specialty area and Illinois License Advanced Practice Nurse.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to assess the needs of the Patient and effectively meet their needs.

Continuing education as determined by state licensure requirements and re-credentialing/licensing organizations. Maintain collaborative/supervisory agreements as required. Provides primary care to patients of age.
