Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Vice President - Patient Services, administers the managerial function of setting objectives, planning, staffing, and directing activities of the department. Consults with and advises of issues related to the operation of the department; and recommends changes in policies to carry out health center objectives more effectively. Ensures the efficient, economic, and quality performance of the department to support or provide quality health care services. Responsible for the department's overall delivery of proactive customer service. Provides and maintains effective communications with medical staff, the community, and all levels of supervision and staff.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN). Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.


CERTIFICATION, liCENSURE, BONDING:

    • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license granted by the State of Wisconsin.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification and Advanced Cardio Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification obtained within 6 months of date of hire.

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 2 years experience.


SPECIAL QUAliFICATIONS: Efficiently and accurately enter data and use a computer for a variety of activities.


Department Specific:

Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in verbal and written form with co-workers and residents. Able to manage tasks in a timely manner and meet timelines while producing quality, accurate work. Perform basic and advanced math including: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, statistics, decimals, and percentages.
